I'm Alive!

Yes, I am alive. I didn't just disappear. But let me tell you, throwing an open house, babysitting my cousins for a weekend, getting the flu, and having 5 custom orders in 1 day does not make life easy. Fun (except for the flu), but busy. But now things are finally settling down and I am getting caught up. Just wanted to let you know that some changes are coming. I feel like I need to take a step up from being a novice seller to an intermediate seller. I'm not quite pro, but I'm making progress. Anyways...

So I'm experimenting with my photography. So please let me know what you think about the pictures. Yes? No? Love 'em? Hate 'em? They can be found on my etsy shop here.

And, instead of loading all my new pictures and things on my facebook page, which I don't really want the whole world gawking at, I decided to start a new facebook page, just for Sissy Boo Boutique! So head on over to take a look! (Or you could wait a few days until it gets pretty. It's kind of empty right now).

But here's a mini update. I will post my new pictures soon!

Thank You!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported the open house! It was so much better than I had expected and it has given me the confidence to branch out and get into craft fairs. So I will definitely be doing this again. But not for a while because i was just a little, ok, a lot stressed out (that can't be grammatically correct, oh well). I was so worried that no one would even come and I wouldn't sell anything, or no one would really like my stuff, that I've needed the past few days to recover. But, thanks to the wonderful attendance, all my worries were put to rest.

Anyways, while preparing for the open house I made a few new items. Would you like to see them? You would! Ok, here they are:

The headbands are available in any of the above colors. (No I did not make them, but they match my flowers so well! And they look pretty adorable on little baby heads.)

Like what you see? Click HERE to go to my etsy shop. Or just send me a comment telling me what you think!

Thanks again to everyone who came and made last Thursday a success.

It's Official!

Alright everyone it's official! My mom and I will be hosting a boutique open house on May 17 from 2-5 pm. So for those of you who wanted to get a close up look at my products now is your chance. Everything you see on this blog and my etsy shop will be available at the open house.

And I'm going to try something a little new...custom orders. So if you see a onesie that you LOVE but you want it in a different size I will make it happen (as long as my supplies last). Or you saw a hair clip that you were dying to have but someone snatched it before you got there, no problem. Or, if you want something in a different color, I'll do my best to make you happy.

And just so you know, if you want what you see here ASAP, I only have 1 of everything. So for those of you who may not be able to make it to the open house leave me a comment here, on my events page, or head over to my etsy shop.

Also...there will be more than just my stuff. Because really, the more the merrier. So we will also have Scentsy, Jamberry Nails, and Vault Denim! Yay!

So if you are in the Mini-Cassia area, come to the open house and bring a friend. Hope to see you there!

What do you think?

I love making new stuff! It is so exciting for me to share what I love with you. Which leads me to a question...

Last time I posted my new inventory, I got a suggestion to have an open house. So what do you think? I've been debating if that's a good idea and finally decided maybe I should throw a boutique open house featuring Scentsy, JamBerry Nails, Vault Denim, and of course Sissy Boo Boutique. Again, what do you think about this idea? Anyways...I hope to see you there (unless you all think it is a horrible idea in which case I will never mention it again!) and I'll give you an update on the when and where after I schedule with the other consultants.

So, just what would you be seeing at this open house? Everything I've posted earlier plus...

Baby Bow Animal Applique Onesie

Baby Bow Long Sleeve with Tie Applique Onesie

Baby Bow Tie Applique Onesie

Baby Bow Vest and Bowtie Onesie

Baby Girl Flower Applique Onesie
Baby Girl Flower Applique Onesie...

with Ruffle Bum

Coral, Brown, and Aqua Rosette Hair Clip

Aqua and White Rosette Hair Clip

Strawberry Pink Rosette Hair Clip

Um...SO CUTE! I seriously think the little boy vest and bow tie is the cutest thing ever. I might have squealed with excitement when it was done.

So again, let me hear your comments, either here or on facebook. Let me know what you think of my products and the open house idea. If you don't think you can wait that long, you can go to my etsy shop. Thanks for letting me share with you!

A Little Different

So I know this is not what this blog is supposed to be about, but I just felt like sharing...I am a planner. I plan and organize and schedule things whether or not they actually get done is another thing. One thing that I have found really needs to be written down and planned out is a menu. However, I am not one of those people who can plan a weekly, or 2 weekly, or monthly, or whatever menu out day by day. I don't like to say that 5 days from now I'm going to make lasagna or that in 10 days I'll make enchiladas. What if that doesn't sound good? Or what if something comes up and I don't have time to make it? I like to be organized, but not locked in. I need some flexibility here.

So after searching pinterest for something that would suit what I want, and after giving up, I came up with this instead. My own meal plan + grocery list just for you!

click on the photo, save to your computer, and print for free!

Here's how it works for me, I write down meals for two weeks that I want to make. I try to add new recipes and stick with our favorites. Then on the side I write down a grocery list: things that I need just for these recipes, and other basics I need to stock up on. Easy-peasy and flexible just for me. And hopefully for you too.
