Happy November

I have to say, November is my favorite time of year. Fall leaves, cool mornings, Thanksgiving, and my birthday. Ok, I really like my birthday. All growing up I remember being so excited the morning of my birthday because my mom would make me mickey mouse chocolate chip pancakes. I have to admit, I still make myself chocolate chip pancakes and that is a tradition I plan to pass on.

Well, now that my reminiscing is out of my system, I need some ideas. I want your idea for my next project. It can be a onesie design, a new hair/flower accessory, a t-shirt idea. Anything! I will pick one idea this month. Who ever came up with the idea I pick will win their idea FREE. Yay! So, either leave me a comment under this post or head on over to my facebook page and leave a comment under my BRAINSTORM post.

And while you're at it, enter my giveaway here for more free stuff. C'mon, who doesn't love free stuff!?

So I just have to give a shout out to my Lady Hornets going to State Volleyball this weekend! Go Hornets!!! My little sister is their setter and she's a senior this year and I couldn't be more proud of the team. I'll be up cheering them on this weekend all the way to victory!

So on that note here's some adorable new hair clips with some school spirit!

And if you just want something cute...

Can you just picture a set in some cute, curly, little pigtails?! So cute. Each of these flowers is about 3 inches in diameter and has an alligator clip on the back.

Want some? I can make them in any color or combination. I have just about any color you could imagine in my craft room and if there's anything I don't have I should so I'll go get it for you! So head on over to my etsy shop and pick yours out. They are $3 for one or $5 for a set of 2.

Crazy Updates & a Giveaway!

Yikes! Alright so here's the deal...I am a terrible blogger. I read all my other favorite blogs and realize how really terrible I am at blogging. So right now I am rededicating myself to blogging. My posts will not be everyday (I can already promise that) but they will be weekly! Ok.

However, I do have a bit of an excuse for the terrible blogging record over the last few months...a little Baby Larsen will be joining our family in April! So morning sickness has been a fairly constant companion for the past 2 1/2 months.

And with that great news I have more exciting news. I have been chosen to be reviewed by Real Moms Real Views. It is an awesome website from moms for moms. I highly recommend checking it out which you can do by clicking here. So to celebrate the upcoming arrival & being featured on RMRV I am doing a GIVEAWAY!

The prize is a $25 shopping spree from Sissy Boo Boutique on Etsy! If you win you can use the $25 for anything in my shop! Onesies, hair clips, or custom orders! These are perfect for baby showers, birthdays, holidays, or just because. And those hair clips aren't just for little girls. I wear them and get compliments all the time. So be sure to enter below!

You have 3 chances to enter so make sure to take advantage of them! The giveaway will run from October 18 until November 16.

a Rafflecopter giveaway

*Winner will be notified 11/17/2012. Winner must claim prize with 48 hours or a new winner will be chosen. Winner will coordinate with me (Kylie) to choose their items. I will then set up a custom order on etsy for them to purchase using paypal. Price on the custom order will reflect a $25 discount.

If you are brand new to my blog, thanks for being here! And if you want to see all of my available products, please go to my etsy shop (link in the upper left corner). Calling All Models!

Hey! So I realized that in my last post I said that I was making a facebook page, but never gave you the link. And I am a little tech-challenged so here's what you do...go on to facebook, search Sissy Boo Boutique, and like the page. Ta-Da! Ok, so maybe it's not that exciting, but it's something new to me!
And, as an added incentive to invite your friends, if I can get 50 people to like the fb page, I will do a special for July. I'm talking a giveaway, discounts, crazy stuff. I'm that serious.

Anyways, on to the real purpose of todays post: I need models! After trying to avoid it and making due with mannequins, I've decided that I need some real models. I've gotten so many critiques from friends and strangers that say having models would help my products. Therefore(!) I am asking for models for my products. I need babies (boys or girls) ages 3-12 months for the onesies, little girls (preferably 2T) for T-shirts, and teen girls or women for my hair clips. Any help would be SO appreciated! If you are interested please leave me a message here, or on the facebook page mentioned above. If you do decide to help, you could end up looking so adorable like this:

I had to make it big. He's just SO CUTE!

So that's the deal. I need models, and likes of facebook. Both with incentives for you! Yay!

I'm Alive!

Yes, I am alive. I didn't just disappear. But let me tell you, throwing an open house, babysitting my cousins for a weekend, getting the flu, and having 5 custom orders in 1 day does not make life easy. Fun (except for the flu), but busy. But now things are finally settling down and I am getting caught up. Just wanted to let you know that some changes are coming. I feel like I need to take a step up from being a novice seller to an intermediate seller. I'm not quite pro, but I'm making progress. Anyways...

So I'm experimenting with my photography. So please let me know what you think about the pictures. Yes? No? Love 'em? Hate 'em? They can be found on my etsy shop here.

And, instead of loading all my new pictures and things on my facebook page, which I don't really want the whole world gawking at, I decided to start a new facebook page, just for Sissy Boo Boutique! So head on over to take a look! (Or you could wait a few days until it gets pretty. It's kind of empty right now).

But here's a mini update. I will post my new pictures soon!

Thank You!

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came and supported the open house! It was so much better than I had expected and it has given me the confidence to branch out and get into craft fairs. So I will definitely be doing this again. But not for a while because i was just a little, ok, a lot stressed out (that can't be grammatically correct, oh well). I was so worried that no one would even come and I wouldn't sell anything, or no one would really like my stuff, that I've needed the past few days to recover. But, thanks to the wonderful attendance, all my worries were put to rest.

Anyways, while preparing for the open house I made a few new items. Would you like to see them? You would! Ok, here they are:

The headbands are available in any of the above colors. (No I did not make them, but they match my flowers so well! And they look pretty adorable on little baby heads.)

Like what you see? Click HERE to go to my etsy shop. Or just send me a comment telling me what you think!

Thanks again to everyone who came and made last Thursday a success.

It's Official!

Alright everyone it's official! My mom and I will be hosting a boutique open house on May 17 from 2-5 pm. So for those of you who wanted to get a close up look at my products now is your chance. Everything you see on this blog and my etsy shop will be available at the open house.

And I'm going to try something a little new...custom orders. So if you see a onesie that you LOVE but you want it in a different size I will make it happen (as long as my supplies last). Or you saw a hair clip that you were dying to have but someone snatched it before you got there, no problem. Or, if you want something in a different color, I'll do my best to make you happy.

And just so you know, if you want what you see here ASAP, I only have 1 of everything. So for those of you who may not be able to make it to the open house leave me a comment here, on my events page, or head over to my etsy shop.

Also...there will be more than just my stuff. Because really, the more the merrier. So we will also have Scentsy, Jamberry Nails, and Vault Denim! Yay!

So if you are in the Mini-Cassia area, come to the open house and bring a friend. Hope to see you there!

What do you think?

I love making new stuff! It is so exciting for me to share what I love with you. Which leads me to a question...

Last time I posted my new inventory, I got a suggestion to have an open house. So what do you think? I've been debating if that's a good idea and finally decided maybe I should throw a boutique open house featuring Scentsy, JamBerry Nails, Vault Denim, and of course Sissy Boo Boutique. Again, what do you think about this idea? Anyways...I hope to see you there (unless you all think it is a horrible idea in which case I will never mention it again!) and I'll give you an update on the when and where after I schedule with the other consultants.

So, just what would you be seeing at this open house? Everything I've posted earlier plus...

Baby Bow Animal Applique Onesie

Baby Bow Long Sleeve with Tie Applique Onesie

Baby Bow Tie Applique Onesie

Baby Bow Vest and Bowtie Onesie

Baby Girl Flower Applique Onesie
Baby Girl Flower Applique Onesie...

with Ruffle Bum

Coral, Brown, and Aqua Rosette Hair Clip

Aqua and White Rosette Hair Clip

Strawberry Pink Rosette Hair Clip

Um...SO CUTE! I seriously think the little boy vest and bow tie is the cutest thing ever. I might have squealed with excitement when it was done.

So again, let me hear your comments, either here or on facebook. Let me know what you think of my products and the open house idea. If you don't think you can wait that long, you can go to my etsy shop. Thanks for letting me share with you!

A Little Different

So I know this is not what this blog is supposed to be about, but I just felt like sharing...I am a planner. I plan and organize and schedule things whether or not they actually get done is another thing. One thing that I have found really needs to be written down and planned out is a menu. However, I am not one of those people who can plan a weekly, or 2 weekly, or monthly, or whatever menu out day by day. I don't like to say that 5 days from now I'm going to make lasagna or that in 10 days I'll make enchiladas. What if that doesn't sound good? Or what if something comes up and I don't have time to make it? I like to be organized, but not locked in. I need some flexibility here.

So after searching pinterest for something that would suit what I want, and after giving up, I came up with this instead. My own meal plan + grocery list just for you!

click on the photo, save to your computer, and print for free!

Here's how it works for me, I write down meals for two weeks that I want to make. I try to add new recipes and stick with our favorites. Then on the side I write down a grocery list: things that I need just for these recipes, and other basics I need to stock up on. Easy-peasy and flexible just for me. And hopefully for you too.
